Ommar, CEO, IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce & Industry
visited several ministers and deputy ministers in the
regional government of Kurdistan on during on the 28th
and 29th of September to share few moments and
thank the government of Kurdistan for their strong support
and endorsement of the historic Kurdistan DBX International
Trade show and conference that just ended on the 18th
of September and during those brief visits IraqiAmerican
Chamber of Commerce & Industry awarded a certificate of
thanks and appreciation and exchanged comments about the
value and benefits derived from this event. Following are
some of the comments by the ministers and deputy ministers:
“this event
not only helped Erbil become an international
city but it also highlights the new opening of Erbil
international airport with new flights from Frankfort,
Germany and starting right after the show we started to see
an increase in the number of international visitors to our
city and we contribute this directly to the show value in
encouraging international business community to visit
Kurdistan where security is pretty much like any other
normal city in the world” stated Mr. Hyder Sh Ali, Minister
of Transport and Communication
“we identified
several suppliers through this historic event
and started negotiation to purchase some agricultural
equipment and we hope many other international companies
will feel the welcome and hospitality of Erbil and visit us
soon, thanks to IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce & Industry
for their bold and significant contributions to make this
event happen in our beloved city”, stated Mr. Azad I. Mulla
Minister Agriculture and Irrigation
“in the future
we hope to cooperate with IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce
& Industry to host vertical shows in areas culture and
related media industry as we plan for the future together”
stated Mr. Sami Shoresh, Minister of Culture
“the ministry
of industry
 and
energy would have liked to
have much more display area to offer their products from
three state owned factory facilities but unfortunately we
did not have sufficient time to get ready for this historic
event and we would like to take this opportunity to thank
IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce & Industry for their
dedication and professionalism to bring about this event in
those significant times we live in historically in Iraq”
stated Mr. Noori S. Ghazali, Deputy minister of industry and
energy
“ the ministry
of health received many benefits from this first of its kind
event in Erbil including an ambulance from GM distrubuter
MAK and we hope to continue to work with IraqiAmerican
Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the future to attract more
companies into our region” stated Dr. Serwan N. mahmmd,
Deputy minister of Health
Mr. Abdulla
Yousif Denkha, President of General Establishme
nt of tourism Kurdistan Region stated “ we where so busy
passing out over 20,000 maps and booklets about tourist
attractions in Kurdistan that we need to double up our
efforts in the future for such major events and we strongly
believe that if it was not for IraqiAmerican Chamber of
Commerce & Industry this would have never happened”
 “we
wish IraqiAmerican Chamber of Commerce & Industry
continued success and progress in the future, we are
truly amazed by your accomplishments for this premier event
and as the minister of education I thank you” stated the
minister of education Mr. Abdul Aziz Talib
“we have never
done anything like this and we prepared for two months to
make sure that the event was accident free and yet welcomed
visitors without making them feel uncomfortable with extra
security measures. With over 5000 security personal for this
event and without any incident we feel ready to take on
bigger challenges in the future”
